十字路口 The Road Not Taken




每天早上,一睜開眼,我都問著同一條問題:繼續前行,還是另闢新徑?

我努力回想起,十年前,為何我會跑到廣播道去。
今天早上,靈光一閃,終於想起來了。
那時候我是何等堅持,毫不猶疑,很清楚自己想要的是甚麼:一個見識世界的機會,一份與社會接軌的工作。

沒有改變世界的宏願,
也沒有守護城市核心價值的志向,
但求受眾能獲得點點資訊,喧鬧中各派用心聆聽,平靜對話。

萬千世界,總算瞥了一眼,卻發現世界並無盡頭。
資訊爆炸, 追趕新聞,跟社會接上軌, 心中節奏卻脫了軌。

翻開老師近日送我的 The Daily Stoic。
三百六十五日,一日一段古希臘斯多葛學派哲人名言。
1月31日有這一段:



廣播道上,風景處處,凌晨一時的月色、清晨四時的寒風、早上七時晨光、傍晚六時的斜陽。日落日出,踏進大堂,天還沒亮。步出大門,天已黑了。
付出了一堆汗水淚水、 經歷了一些紛爭吵鬧、聽了一些人生哲理、留下了幾個作品。


十年如一夢, 如今是間歇疲勞,還是熱情殆盡?
十字路口上,進退失據,想起了 Robert Frost The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood
And sorry I could not travel both
…..
knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
…..
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
